You will need to install a virtual machine (VM) image: download it (.ova file) here: https://polybox.ethz.ch/index.php/s/cX7DTCdm9DoJmuT
This file can be opened with VirtualBox (https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads). For good performance, we recommend a computer with at least 4 CPU cores and 8GB RAM to run the VM on.
When the VM is started, the openBIS server program starts automatically and a message is shown to the user. When the server has started up (time may vary, depending on the performance of your computer, usually a few minutes), Google Chrome will open automatically and show the openBIS ELN-LIMS login page. The login / password has been sent by email to the participants.
Pay attention that you might have some issues with Windows OS machines.... If so, you might find some help in the PDF document below.
