Project Management course (for SIB employees and members)
Lausanne, 7-8 and 26-27 May 2015
Given the great success of the previous session, the SIB Management and the SIB Training & Outreach Group are happy to announce a new session of the Project Management training.
SIB will working with the company Itéral, specialized in project management, to deliver this training. They have a wide experience in the topic, an approach that is both theoretical and practical, and experience within the academic and scientific fields.

· Managing stakeholders relationships
· Formulating objectives
· Managing the project life cycle
· Setting up the project structure
· Analysing project risks
· Planning and following-up
· Using the proper templates and tools
Some feedback from SIB participants of the previous session
One year after the course, ten participants answered a long-term feedback request: all of them found the course relevant to their work and recommended the course to others, and most of them (90%) currently apply what they learned during the course.
Participants commented that the skills they have acquired make it easier to collaborate with project managers, but ... regret that most collaborators do not have these skills.

Prior knowledge: Managing a (major) project is required
Criteria for participation: The course is open to all SIB members. Written approval from your group leader (and team lead if relevant) is necessary. If too many inscriptions are received, priority may be given to employees and persons ensuring “mixity” across SIB groups and locations.The course is full.
Please use your SIB email address for application, and specify the name of the Group Leader who will cover the CHF 600 registration fee. Note that you will be informed by email of your registration confirmation. Deadline for registration and free-of-charge cancellation is set to April 24. Cancellation after this date will not be reimbursed.
